The Donors Platform application ensures the transparency of the data about the funding of the non-governmental sector in Romania.

34 key-donors make public the data regarding the funding of the NGO sector in a single platform at the national level

Created with the contribution of 15 of the main civil society donors in Romania, joined by 19 community foundations, the platform facilitates the exploring and graphic visualizing of data about funding for the nongovernmental organizations in all areas of interest.

It is the first time that relevant donors join forces to provide better clarity with respect to the strategic investments made in the not-for-profit sector, which gathers essential information about allocating financial support in specific areas of intervention, identifying new funding opportunities in less explored domains, as well as even options for co-funding and discovery of new non-governmental actors and tehir projects.

Platforma Donatorilor (The Donors Platform) is a project initiated by a coalition of 15 donors: Asociația pentru Relații Comunitare, BRD-Groupe Société Générale and Fundația 9, Federația Fundațiilor Comunitare din România, Fundația pentru Dezvoltarea Societății Civile, Fundația Hațegan, Fundația Orange, Fundația pentru Parteneriat, Fundația Vodafone România, ING Bank România, Kaufland România, Lidl România, PENNY România, Raiffeisen Bank România, Romanian-American Foundation, and  Fundația United Way Romania. The solution was designed, developed, and is managed by the Code for Romania Association.

With the Donors Platform launch, the NGO sector and the public at large have access to a central information point, with updated and standardized data, following common taxonomy and simple, permanent, and consistent. The 15 founders  make an open call to all the companies operating in Romania to join them in this endeavor and to opt for sharing their data on the platform, in view of increasing the degree of transparency within the sector and to gain access to detailed information to better design their funding strategies and increasing the impact in Romania.
