The Ambulance for Monuments (ApM/The Ambulance), a project of the Monumentum Association, is a mechanism through which monuments in a state of degradation are made safe.
The Ambulance approach is based on the active involvement of communities, local authorities, national and local sponsors and an active network of volunteers. The activity of the Ambulance generates a significant network of individuals, organizations and authorities that contribute collaboratively to making monuments safe.
This study analyzes the potential of the ApM to activate the local communities where it intervenes and is based on the analysis of multiple data sources to present an overview of the Ambulance mechanism and its interaction with various actors in the communities where the ApM interventions take place.
