Cristian Nacu

Cristian Nacu is the Senior Country Officer for Romania and Moldova for the International Finance Corporation (WBG).  With more than 25 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and privatization, he is recognized as one of the most experienced and respected managers and investment professionals in the region.

For 10 years he has been a Partner in Enterprise Investors, one of the largest and oldest private equity firms in Central and Eastern Europe and he managed the company’s Representative Office in Romania. In addition, for two years he has also been a senior advisor to the President of the firm. Enterprise Investors has been one of the most active and successful private equity investors in CEE and in Romania.

Previously, Cristian Nacu had worked for over 6 years as investment professional for International Finance Corporation within the World Bank Group and for two years as top executive for Fondul Proprietatii de Stat, the former governmental privatization agency.

He is active in nonprofits as a board member or chair of many professional or non-profit organizations. He serves on the board of Junior Achievement Romania and has been for many years President of the South Eastern European Private Equity Association (SEEPEA ), and board member of NESsT Foundation Romania, a strong supporter of social entrepreneurship.

Cristian Nacu holds a degree from the Polytechnics University in Bucharest and completed multiple trainings in finance.
