Over the past decade, Romanian universities have increasingly embraced entrepreneurial education — weaving it into their academic programs and building campus ecosystems that champion innovation and initiative. The Babson SEE program (Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators) builds on this momentum, connecting faculty with Babson College’s teaching methodology, widely recognized as a global benchmark in entrepreneurship education.

CONTEXT

Since 2016, the Romanian-American Foundation has been investing in the professional development of Romanian university faculty, helping them discover and adopt contemporary approaches to entrepreneurship education — most notably through the Fulbright-RAF Scholar Award. Along the way, it became clear that sustaining this work required something broader: a growing community of like-minded educators and deeper institutional commitment from universities that had made entrepreneurship a strategic priority.

The SEE program was designed to meet that need. It gives faculty hands-on access to teaching methods grounded in action, experimentation, and real-world problem-solving. Over the years, it has helped cultivate a core group of educators across Romanian universities — people equipped to drive curriculum reform and open up new entrepreneurial learning pathways for their students.

STRATEGY

Having grown through multiple editions, Babson SEE is an intensive 3.5-day workshop that introduces Romanian faculty to Babson’s entrepreneurship education framework and the Entrepreneurial Thought & Action® philosophy.

The program blends experiential learning with practical teaching tools, so participants leave ready to bring fresh, modern approaches directly into their classrooms. Equally important, the workshop serves as a genuine gathering point — connecting educators from across universities and strengthening a professional network that can drive lasting change in how entrepreneurship is taught in Romania.

Outreach and participant selection are coordinated by the Association for Entrepreneurship Education (AEA), an organization founded by Fulbright-RAF Scholar alumni. The program itself is led by Babson College faculty, with host universities and local partners handling on-the-ground logistics.
