Senior Program Officer – Civil Society and Philanthropy

Ruxandra Sasu has over 12 years of professional experience in the public service, in the governmental and non-governmental sectors. For 3 years, she worked with the Central Unit for Public Administration Reform within the Ministry of Administration and Interior. Over the past 9 years, Ruxandra gained solid expertise in the field of community development – which she holds an avid passion for (along with correlated areas: civil society development, local and rural development, philanthropy development). As program manager and later on as the executive director of PACT Foundation, an NGO which she led for 8 years, working at the grassroots in Southern Romania, Ruxandra consolidated her experience in participatory planning, project and stakeholders’ management, fundraising and resource mobilization, community relations, organizational strategy, management and development. She managed and evaluated projects with a variety of funding sources, facilitated participatory events, and provided training and consulting on: needs and resources evaluation; community mobilization and participation; project writing and management; resource mobilization; participatory work with citizen groups.
