Cora Moțoc

Senior Director for Strategy

Cora has worked extensively with both non-profits and international governmental institutions, for the past twenty years. Most recently, she was the Country Director of Justice & Care Romania Foundation, a British-Romanian charity fighting human trafficking and modern slavery, which she set up in Romania and led for four years. In this role, she was also a co-founder of the ProTECT Network, a platform reuniting the most active NGOs working in the field of anti-trafficking.
 
Prior to that, Cora spent nearly a decade as Senior Political Officer at the British Embassy in Bucharest, leading on human rights, migration, and civil society engagement, including grantmaking and cross-government initiatives. 
 
Earlier in her career, she served as Adviser with the Romanian Prime-Minister’s Office, in a department created to implement rural sustainability initiatives in Romania in collaboration with The Prince of Wales’ Sustainability Unit.
 
Cora is a graduate of the University of Bucharest’s Political Science Department, a Fellow of the Aspen Young Leaders Program (2008), and was appointed a Member of the Royal Victorian Order (MVO) by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 2020.
