James J. Jackson is a senior finance executive and board member with extensive experience in the United States, Canada, Asia, and Europe, including Romania.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In 2005, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Romania, a mobile telephone company. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Telesystem International Wireless, Inc.\u2019s European operating companies, including MobiFon in Romania. Earlier in his career, Mr. Jackson served \u00a0as Vice Chairman and CFO for a globally recognized soda and juice franchisee based in Romania and held senior finance positions with Alcan Group, a Montreal-based global producer of primary aluminum and diversified related products (now Rio Tinto Alcan Incorporated). Mr. Jackson began his professional career \u00a0at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Toronto.<\/p>\n

Mr. Jackson has served on numerous non-profit boards. He currently sits on the Foundation board of the Sandhills Community College and the Foundation of First Health and previously served on the boards of the Tufts Archive and Given Memorial Library and of the First Tee of the Sandhills (North Carolina). In addition, from 2005 to 2016, Mr. Jackson held various board roles in four public companies, in the metals industries, chemical processing and cellular communications, \u00a0including Chair, Audit Committee Chair and lead independent director. \u00a0\u00a0Mr. Jackson \u00a0was also a minority owner of the Carolina Hurricanes \u00a0of the (NHL) National Hockey League for several years.<\/p>\n

Mr. Jackson graduated from Trent University in Ontario, Canada with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Economics and History and is a Certified Public Accountant in both the United States and Canada.
