Ionuț Simion is the Country Managing Partner of PwC Romania and the CEE Leader of the Transfer Pricing practice of PwC. Mr. Simion is a qualified tax consultant as per Romanian law with a degree in finance and accounting from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and a PhD in Strategic Management. He is the Vice president of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce and also a member of the Board of Junior Achievement. He has considerable experience with both national and international assignments, which have included a six-month assignment at the PwC New York office. Mr. Simion is an active participant in discussions with the Romanian Ministry of Finance aimed at updating the Romanian tax legislation and has worked on World Bank and IMF funded projects to modernize the Romanian tax administration. Besides his business achievements, Mr. Simion is a keen marathon runner and leader of the PwC Romania Run 4 Fun team, the largest corporate running club in Romania.
